We believe the Bible (the 66 Books) in its entirety, to be God's written revelation to man; that it is the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God, without error as originally recorded; and that it is our final authority in matters of faith, belief, and behavior. We believe that the Bible should be interpreted literally, grammatically, contextually, and historically.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:18-21)
One Triune God
We believe there is only one true and living God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself in three Persons revealed in the Bible as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are distinct and co-equal, yet one in essence.
(2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 3:11-17; 28:19)
God The Father
We believe God the Father orders and directs everything according to His own purpose and pleasure. He is graciously involved with mankind, He hears and answers prayer, and has designed the means whereby all who come to Him through Jesus Christ are saved from spiritual death.
(John 5:19-24; 16:23-27; Ephesians 1:3-14)
God The Son
We believe God the Son, Jesus Christ, is the eternal Son of God, was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. As true God and true Man, His death on the cross is the permanent sacrifice and payment for our sins. He was raised bodily, ascended into heaven, is now seated at the right hand of God and intercedes for us as our High Priest and Advocate. His Premillennial return is personal, bodily, and imminent.
(Matthew 1:18-25; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 7:23-28)
God The Holy Spirit
We believe God the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead, whose broad scope of activity includes creation, the written revelation, the incarnation, the transformation of believers and the initiation and completion of the Church. He presently convicts the world of sin, gives new life to those who trust in Christ, indwells believers and enables them in their spiritual growth and service.
(Genesis 1:1-3; Luke 1:35; John 14:16-18; 16:5-15; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19)
We believe that Satan is a personal being, the author of sin who provoked the fall of man, and as the great adversary of God's person, program, and people, is destined to eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.
(Isaiah 14:12-15; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:10)
We believe that man was directly created by God, in the image of God, free from sin to enjoy His fellowship and to glorify Him. In the first man, Adam, however, all mankind (except Jesus Christ), by voluntary transgression, fell from his sinless state so that all are born with a sinful nature, having incurred both physical and spiritual death. Apart from God's grace in providing salvation in Jesus Christ, man is hopelessly destined to eternal separation from God forever.
(Genesis 1:26-28; 2:7; 3:1-24; Psalm 14:2-3; Romans 1:18-32; 3:10-19, 23: 5:12, 19; Ephesians 2:1-7)
We believe that man's redemption and reconciliation with God occurs as an act of God's grace, not of works, that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. We further believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are, at that moment, born again unto everlasting life.
(John 1:12-13; 3:1-21; 14:6; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-21)
We believe that every believer in Christ stands before God in Christ's perfection, but that his state is one of progressive sanctification. Further, we believe that every believer in Christ is to live a dedicated life of righteousness, good works and separated unto God from the world. This life is manifested by speaking the truth, maintaining the sanctity of the home, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit, maintaining a life of prayer, and study of the Bible.
(Romans 12:1-21; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:1-6, 24; Philippians 4:6; James 5:12-18)
Security of the Saints
We believe that all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ.
(John 10:28-29; Philippians 1:6; Jude 1; 1 Peter 1:3-5)
We believe that there is one true Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, composed of all true believers of the age of grace, irrespective of denominational affiliation. Local congregations are to be composed of believers of like mind for the purpose of worship, education, fellowship, disciple making and service.
(Acts 2:41-47; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 8:1-9; Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:11-16; Hebrews 10:24-25)
We believe in observing the ordinance of the Lord's Supper, which is a symbolic representation of our Savior's suffering and death. We further believe that baptism should be administered upon confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as a representation of the new life in Christ.
(Matthew 3:13-17; 26:26-28; Acts 8:26-39; 16:30-33; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
We believe that God's future plan for individuals includes the glorious fellowship of all believers in the heavenly presence of Christ and the everlasting damnation of all unbelievers in a place called the Lake of Fire. God's future plan in general includes the imminent return of Jesus Christ to remove and reward His Church, the righteous judgment of God upon the earth in a Tribulation Period, the return of Christ in glory, the establishment of His Messianic Kingdom upon the earth, and final judgment of the unsaved and glory for the saved.
(Matthew 25:44-46; Luke 16:19-31; John 14:1-3; 5:28-29; Romans 14:10-12; Philippians 1:21-23)
We believe that every human being will experience bodily resurrection. Believers will appear in heaven at the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive rewards and live forever with God. Unbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne and be cast into the Lake of Fire to suffer continuous punishment separated from God forever.
